Free · 30-minute · For industrial B2B firms

Free 30-minute capability statement audit. We tell you what we'd change.

Most industrial B2B firms have a capability statement. Most are getting screened out at page 3 by tier-1 procurement officers. We'll do a thirty-minute live audit on your capability statement, identify the page-1-4 gaps, and tell you exactly what we'd change for the next pursuit.

No deck. No follow-up unless you ask for one. Conducted by a Perth-resident senior strategist.

What we look at in the 30 minutes

1. Page 1 (cover)
Hero project image strength, two-line capability summary clarity, contact strip visibility.
2. Page 2 (capability matrix)
Service × geography × project-value-band matrix. Procurement officer's first filter pass.
3. Page 3 (tier-1 references)
Named projects, named clients (where permitted), named outcomes. Evidence over claims.
4. Page 4 (safety + accreditation)
ISO 45001, ICAM, NSCA award visibility. The second-pass procurement filter.
5. Pages 5-8 (depth)
Equipment register, methodology, senior leadership bios, contact + next step.
What we typically find

Five common capability statement gaps, present in roughly 80% of statements we audit.

GAP 01

Values statement on page 3

Page 3 is a generic "our values" or "our approach" spread. Procurement officers don't read values, they read evidence. Page 3 should be tier-1 reference projects.

GAP 02

No capability matrix

Pages 1-2 don't surface what services × what geography × what project-value-band the firm can handle. Procurement can't filter on first pass.

GAP 03

Tier-1 names absent

Tier-1 client names buried or absent, even where permission exists to name them. The single most powerful evidence type for next-pursuit credibility.

GAP 04

Safety credentials buried

ISO 45001, NSCA awards, safety-record transparency on page 12 of 16. Should be on page 4, the second-pass procurement filter sees it or doesn't.

GAP 05

No named contact

"info@" address and a generic phone number on page 16. Should be a named senior leader's direct phone + email, the procurement officer rings the named person.

THE WIN

Berg pattern

Capability redesign that addresses these five gaps won Berg Engineering panel positions inside the first six months of engagement.
