The Australian fashion B2C pattern.
Fashion + apparel + footwear + jewellery B2C brands have a structurally specific marketing pattern. Photography-led creative, Meta CAPI server-side, Klaviyo retention, brand-aesthetic consistency, seasonal-cycle creative cadence. The Bujairami / By Charlotte worked patterns.
Six fashion-B2C-specific disciplines
1. Photography-led creative pipeline
Fashion brands live or die on photography. Hero photography hand-finished by professionals (mood-and-light correct, on-brand styling, colour-accurate). Imagen-augmented variants build on the hand-finished hero, not the other way around. Generic AI-generated fashion creative looks generic and underperforms.
2. Brand-aesthetic consistency across creative volume
Fashion brands need 12-24 ad variants per campaign for Meta's algorithm, but each variant has to be brand-aesthetic-consistent. Brand-trained Imagen models produce variants that match the brand's specific aesthetic; generic Imagen output doesn't. The training-and-prompt-engineering investment is what separates fashion creative production that compounds from fashion creative production that drifts.
3. Seasonal-cycle creative cadence
Fashion is seasonal. AW / SS collection drops, sale cycles, gift-cycle campaigns (Mother's Day, Father's Day, Christmas). Creative production calendar has to align with seasonal cycle, not run on flat-monthly cadence.
4. Meta CAPI + Catalogue feed integration
Fashion brands rely on Meta + Instagram for acquisition. CAPI server-side from Shopify customer events. Meta Catalogue feed integration. Dynamic product ads driven by browser behaviour. iOS-14-resilient attribution discipline.
5. Klaviyo retention as primary repeat-purchase channel
Fashion B2C has high repeat-purchase potential but low natural-frequency in many sub-categories. Klaviyo flows that nurture without overwhelming. Welcome → consideration → first-purchase → post-purchase → win-back at category-appropriate cadence.
6. Returns-rate management as marketing concern
Fashion has high returns rates structurally. Marketing programmes that drive new-customer acquisition without managing returns-rate impact (mismatched expectations, sizing issues, photography-vs-product reality gap) damage unit economics. CRO + photography accuracy + sizing-information depth all become marketing concerns.
